Distribute the consumption of nuts over a week. They are a great source of fiber and another form of monounsaturated fats.

Servings more than 9 per day of fruits and vegetables are a must. This sounds too much but is definitely affordable. Initially start with 5 servings per day and later go up to 9 servings.

  • Lycopene-rich produce: tomatoes, red grapefruit, watermelon, guava
  • Beta-carotene-rich produce: winter squash, carrots, sweet potatoes
  • Dark green, leafy veggies: spinach, romaine, kale, collards, Swiss chard
