Your physician will perform a pap test to check for these bad cells, and for anything else that does not look right. There is no risk to your body from having a pap test, and it could save your life.

Stop Smoking Tobacco

You will have twice the chance of contracting cervical cancer if you are using tobacco products, than if you were not. If you have been using these tobacco products for a long time you will still be able to reduce your risk by stopping.
It is a good idea, if you are going to have sex, to have safe sex. The human papillomavirus is an infection that you could get, and it can lead to cervical cancer.
If you have sex with many partners, it will also increase your risk for cervical cancer. Also, having sex at a young age, before you are sixteen, will put you at a greater risk.
Gardasil is an effective vaccine that will prevent some of the infections brought on by the human papilloma virus, which can cause cervical cancer.
Eat Your Fruits and Vegetables
You could be at an increased risk for cervical cancer if you do not eat the right foods. Fruits and vegetables contain many vitamins and minerals that are essential for overall health.
It is a proven fact that if you eat a diet that is lacking in these two; you are at a greater risk for cervical cancer.
Cervical cancer is not something that you would want to deal with, and chances are that you will not have to, if you take certain precautions.
